👩🏫🍎 Last week was a momentous occasion as we celebrated our Teachers of the Year at SVUSD! 🌟 We're immensely grateful for the dedication and passion that each and every one of our educators brings to our district. 🎉 At the board meeting, we had the honor of recognizing outstanding teachers from each school. Carmichael: Ashley Blaskowsky, Bella Vista: Gayle Zehr, Huachuca Mountain: Michelle McCalister, Pueblo Del Sol: Mandy Stanley, Town and Country Lorena Russell, Village Meadows: Michele Quinones Joyce Clark Middle School: Richard Graeme, and Buena High School: Beverly Adams. 🏫We proudly presented the moment everyone had been waiting for... the SVUSD Teacher of the Year! 🏆 Join us in giving Michele Quinones from Village Meadows a thunderous round of applause! Tryouts for Cheer will be held on May 14-16 for CURRENT Buena Students. A second tryout for new and incoming freshmen will be held in August. There will also be a parent meeting on May 9th for ALL interested cheerleaders
Titus Forrest was chosen as our Male Athlete of the Week! Titus stands as a beacon of leadership and excellence on the volleyball court. As the team captain, he leads by example, consistently delivering top performances and motivating his teammates to excel. Titus's dominance in kills sets the standard for his team, showcasing his remarkable skill and determination. His infectious energy electrifies the court, fueling his team's morale and driving them towards victory. Titus's leadership extends beyond the game as he leads his team in chants, uniting them in spirit and purpose. Aryanna Garcia was chosen as our Female Athlete of the Week! Aryanna has had outstanding performances on the field in her games this week. In crucial matchups against Catalina Foothills, Cienaga, and Nogales, she showcased her skills with remarkable consistency. Aryanna's offensive contributions were crucial as she hit a double and tallied 2 RBIs against Catalina Foothills, followed by a double, a single, and another RBI in the game against Cienaga. Against Nogales, Aryanna continued her impressive performance, delivering 2 RBIs alongside a double and a single. Aryanna's contributions extend beyond offense; she consistently excels in her defensive duties, displaying exceptional skill and reliability throughout the season. As a leader, Aryanna leads by example, demonstrating kindness, sportsmanship, and a winning attitude towards teammates and opponents alike. Her infectious smile and positive demeanor uplift those around her, making her an invaluable asset to the team both on and off the field.
