1 to 1 Technology Integration Program
The purpose of this implementation was to ensure 100% of SVUSD schools will be properly equipped for our students to have a technology enriched learning environment. All teachers will have the proper training and resources to effectively integrate appropriate technology (hardware/software/internet) in order for our young people to acquire the skills they need to be effective 21st Century citizens and workers. Our high school graduates will exhibit a range of functional and critical thinking skills related to information, media, and technology. They will use technology as a tool to research, organize, evaluate, and communicate information. They will use digital technologies, communication/networking tools, and social networks appropriately to access, manage, integrate, evaluate, and create information to successfully function in a knowledge economy.
State Testing
Parents' Right to Know
Under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, parents have the right to request information regarding the professional qualifications of their child's teacher. Specifically, parents may request the following:
Whether a teacher has met the state qualifications and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction.
Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or another provisional status through which state licensing criteria have been waived.
The baccalaureate degree major of the teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree.
Whether the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the qualifications of our school professionals, please contact the front office at your student's school.
Teachers and staff follow District standards when planning instruction for our students. These standards are the guidelines for each subject area. Teachers use a variety of strategies to support every learning style.
