Sierra Vista Unified School District offers to the parents of a child, whose 5th birthday falls between September 1 and January 1 of the upcoming school year, the opportunity to apply for early entrance to kindergarten. The child’s skills and maturity level have to indicate kindergarten readiness. The intent of the early entrance program is to make kindergarten available to younger children who demonstrate above-average performance as measured by the Kindergarten Readiness Test (KRT). The Sierra Vista Unified School District administers the test. Testing dates for the 2023/24 Kindergarten class are June 20th and June 22nd.
