Today, Wednesday the 9th, all elementary school students will be released early at 12:45 pm. Parents, please remember Wednesdays are always early release days at all SVUSD schools. Thank you for your support.
Yesterday morning Bella Vista families got to enjoy a treat sponsored by the Bobcat PTO. The PTO invited all parents and guardians to “Pastries with Parents” where delicious confections were offered to start the day and the opportunity to order spirit gear and learn all about the PTO. Come out on Friday, when the PTO is kicking off the fundraising season for this school year at Julie & Sammy's 33 Flavors Ice Cream Parlor between 4 pm to 8 pm. Thank you Bobcat PTO volunteers for a sweet morning!
On August 10th we are inviting all our 2nd, 4th (Ms. Tattrie only) and 6th grade parents to our Curriculum Night. Presentations are beginning at 5 pm for the 2nd Grade, at 5:30pm for Ms. Tattrie, and at 6 pm for 6th grade. Each presentation is 30 minutes long. Come out and hear about all the exciting lessons your student will be learning this year!
On August 8th we are inviting all our 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade parents to our Curriculum Night. For grades 2nd, 4th, and 6th Curriculum Night will be on Thursday, August 10th. The lightning has moved to 10 miles away, Bella Vista will no longer be in a Weather Delay Release. Bus riders, walkers, and parent pick up will continue as normal. Thank you for your understanding.
Good afternoon. At this time, we are tracking a lightning alert in our area. Lightning is currently within 5 miles of Bella Vista . Students will be held until lightning is no longer in the area. Parents may opt to sign their children out in the front office during the delay, please bring your ID with you if you are picking up your student. We will continue to watch for lightning in the area in the next 30 minutes, if at that time there is no more lightning bus riders and walkers will be released. Thanks for your patience.

Who is ready to start school?!?!?! All SVUSD schools have their first day on Wednesday, August 2nd. We are excited to have everyone back after the summer break. Just a few reminders, buses will be out in the community so please be cautious when driving. There are a lot of first day jitters so routes may take a little longer than normal. Drivers, be on the lookout for all school zones and remember to slow down. Be sure to load your MySchoolBucks account so your students can buy meals if they need. Wednesday is an early release day. Elementary ends at 12:45pm, JCMS ends at 2:15pm and Buena ends at noon. We cannot wait to see everyone on Wednesday!

Tomorrow is the last day of the 2023 Summer Academy and Bella Vista is hosting a Friday Fun Day. We will have games, fun activities, and much more to celebrate the last day.

Our proposed new Social Studies curriculum is in the 60 Public Review stage and tonight we will be open until 7pm for anyone who would like to come and review the program.

Summer Academy is cancelled for tomorrow, Friday, June 23 for at Buena High School due to Buena becoming a Red Cross Shelter for people affect by the fire in Hereford.
More information about the shelter will be available through the Red Cross and the Cochise County Sheriffs Office Facebook page, when that information is available. The District cannot provide any further information about the fire, shelter or any other resources.
Summer Academy at Bella Vista, Carmichael, and Village Meadows will continue as normal.
