Buena's 8th Annual Film Festival was held on Wednesday night. Film/TV students were given a prompt on Thursday, November 9th. Registered students had the next 10 days to write, storyboard, shoot, edit and export a 2 - 10 minute short film. All videos that were submitted were judged by industry professionals this past week. This morning, Buena staff had to call 911 for a student experiencing a medical emergency. EMS and police are at Buena and the student’s parents have been notified. There was no threat or danger to Buena. Thank you to our staff and EMS for their care and quick response.

Our athlete of the week is Charlie for his amazing performance at the Desert Edge game. Despite the match being difficult, Charlie was dedicated and encouraging, taking the lead and scoring twice. Congratulations Charlie! Aaliyah was selected as the Athlete of the Week for her exceptional leadership skills she has displayed while serving as Co. Captain for our Varsity Cheer Team. She cheered 1 year on JV and 3 years on varsity. Wishing her the best of luck in her final season!
