🌟 Teacher Feature March: Ms. Leslie Cooley! 🌟 Meet Ms. Leslie Cooley, one of our amazing 3rd grade teachers at Town & Country! Though this is her first year teaching 3rd grade, she brings 20+ years of experience in education, previously serving as a Title I & literacy interventionist and a Special Education para for 10 years. 📚 A Unique Teaching Approach! Ms. Cooley and her colleague, Ms. Thuma, split subjects to enhance learning—Ms. Cooley teaches math & science, while Ms. Thuma covers ELA, writing, and social studies. 🔢 Multiplication Masters! Her students are hard at work mastering multiplication tables, tracking their progress each week. Those who complete all 12 tables will celebrate with an ice cream party at the end of the year! 🍦 🧠 Daily Math Challenges & STEM Fun! She keeps learning exciting with daily math challenges, where students solve word problems for PBIS points or small prizes. STEM Wednesdays bring hands-on activities like building the longest paper chain with only two sheets of paper, a ruler, and scissors! 🐶 Outside the Classroom A Yuma native, Ms. Cooley loves traveling (Maine is a favorite spot! 🌊🏯) and spending time with her mini schnauzers, Muffin & Milo. Dear Huachuca Mountain Families, We are pleased to inform you that school will continue as normal today, Friday, March 28th. The construction company has successfully set up a temporary repair to the sewage system. While they have provided port-a-potties as a precaution, they do not anticipate they will be needed. Over the weekend, the company will continue working on the sewage system to complete full repairs. A special thank you to the City of Sierra Vista and all of the crews who worked tirelessly through the night to ensure we could open school this morning. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we look forward to a great day of learning.

Huachuca Mountain Families. Due to ongoing construction in the area, there is an issue with the sewage pipes affecting Huachuca Mountain. As a result, there is a possibility of a delayed start or even a school closure tomorrow, Friday, March 28th. The construction company is actively working to resolve the issue, and we will provide you with the latest update before school starts in the morning. 🌟 Teacher Feature: Mrs. Jurik – A Kindergarten Legend! 🌟 For 18 years, Mrs. Jurik has been a guiding light in the kindergarten classrooms of Village Meadows—helping little learners take their first big leap into education! 🏫✨ To her, kindergarten is a world of discovery, and she loves watching her students grow from playful preschoolers into confident first graders. Her classroom, affectionately called the Puppy Pack, is a warm and nurturing space where every child feels valued and supported—a perfect fit within the Wolf Pack family. 🐾💙 Mrs. Jurik embraces hands-on learning and small-group centers, always looking for new ways to spark curiosity and excitement in her students. She credits much of her success to her incredible paraprofessional, Mrs. Urbina, who works closely alongside her. 📝🎨📚 Outside the classroom, she’s a devoted grandmother, spending time at the Reid Park Zoo and Children’s Museum with her granddaughter. She enjoys knitting, reading, traveling, and family time—and this year, she’s preparing for an exciting new adventure: retirement! 🎉✈️ Principal Mrs. Wambach describes her perfectly: "Mrs. Jurik is more than a teacher—she’s an icon, a leader, and a transformative force in the lives of young minds.
