Dear Parents and Guardians, Due to adverse weather conditions and the presence of lightning in a 10 mile area, we will be implementing a delayed dismissal procedure today at all of our elementary schools. The safety of our students is of paramount importance, and we are taking these precautions to ensure their well-being. During delayed dismissal all students who ride the bus or walk home will be kept in the school until the lightning has passed. Parents are welcome to pick up their students by coming to the office to sign them out. Please bring a photo ID with you to the office. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these weather-related delays. Your child's safety is our top priority, and we are committed to making informed decisions that ensure their well-being. Thank you for your consideration and support.

Huachuca Mountain is truly a special place for kids. Our teaching staff is incredibly caring and professional; their knowledge of building student learning is second to none. Our office staff has been a part of your lives for many years, and remarkably, remembers the name of nearly everyone who walks through our front door. From the cafeteria to the grounds, the adults who come to work every day truly care for your children. Public education is truly my vocation, and I am proud to lead a staff who serves with the same spirit. In 2024-2025, Huachuca Mountain is excited to bring the STEAM training received last year to life for students. As a school community, my goal is to develop our use of cooperative, hands-on learning for students. Huachuca Mountain is also focused on developing writing skills for students, and we can’t wait to see the ideas our students put onto paper. We are truly “public school proud” at Huachuca Mountain, and believe our history of success sets us apart from any other school in our county. Our Lower Grades Bots had an amazing time using their PBIS points to buy a pizza experience! Last week, Chef Acosta and his crew joined us for two days, teaching the Bolts how to make their own personal pizzas and a delightful mouse-shaped dessert. Dressed in their perfect outfits, the students even made pizzas for the whole staff and delivered them to the office. What a fun and educational experience!
