Social Studies teacher Mr. Michael Davidson is Joyce Clark Middle School's Teacher of the Year! Mr. Davidson works passionately to inspire and impact all those her meets each day. He has mastered the elusive art of being firm but fair, having set rules yet maintaining relationships, and keenly remembering that he teaches middle school students. His patience and understanding for the grade level is truly amazing, especially for a teacher newer to the field; Mr. Davidson is in year three of his teaching career. While remaining current with the latest instructional strategies and technologies, he can still reach a troubled or struggling student with simple, yet profound instincts of a veteran teacher. Likewise, he can challenge his students through amazing lessons and activities he brings to life for his class. Just recently, he and his teaching partners created an interactive lesson involving World War 1 trench warfare, getting the students actively involved in the history!
Thank you for everything you do for our students and for bringing history alive in the classroom!
