Dear Parents and Guardians,
Due to adverse weather conditions and the presence of lightning in a 10 mile area, we will be implementing a delayed dismissal procedure today at Town and Country Elementary School. The safety of our students is of paramount importance, and we are taking these precautions to ensure their well-being. During delayed dismissal all students who ride the bus or walk home will be kept in the school until the lightning has passed.
Parents are welcome to pick up their students by coming to the office to sign them out. Please bring a photo ID with you to the office.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these weather-related delays. Your child's safety is our top priority, and we are committed to making informed decisions that ensure their well-being.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Bullying can impact a student’s education, physical, emotional health, and their safety and well-being.
Together we can create communities that are kinder, more inclusive and accepting for all students. In support of National Bully Prevention Month we are encouraging all SVUSD students and staff to wear orange on October 18th to show unity against bullying.
Does your student have a computer at home for their personal use? Would you like for your student to be creative and explore? Or being able to work on assignments from home on a school device? SVUSD is pleased to offer the opportunity to all parents to check out a home Chromebook for all registered SVUSD students. Through the Emergency Connectivity Fund we were able to purchase Chromebooks for home use in order to close the homework gap and support connectivity for all students. Today is National Custodian Appreciation Day and SVUSD is giving a big shout out to all our custodians. Thank you for keeping our schools and offices clean, safe and healthy. We appreciate all their hard work, our schools would not be what they are without their help!
Yesterday, we proudly celebrated all the wonderful achievements of our Roadrunner students for the month of September. We honored PBIS Superstars, Outstanding Citizenship Student, and Academic Excellence in all areas. It was a joy to see the smiles on the faces of our students and families. Way to go Roadrunners!

Route 1 Village Meadows & JCMS—15 minutes
Route 2 Bella Vista: 15 minutes
Route 3 BHS: 15 minutes
Route 4 all schools: 15 minutes
Route 11 all schools: 20 minutes
This Thursday 9/14 and Friday 9/15, are half days at all SVUSD elementary schools to accommodate our Parent/Teacher conferences. Please note that all elementary students will be released by the half day schedule at 11:15 am. Thank you!

Today we held the Roadrunner Really at Town and Country Elementary. In the morning we all gathered to honor our amazing students excelling in math, ELA, Specials (PE, technology and art), Title One reading and our Literacy program. To show how safe, respectful and responsible roadrunners received certificates for Citizenship and PBIS points for students and teachers were also awarded. Staff, students, parents and visitors had a wonderful time enjoying the excitement and are proud of the accomplishments archived.
The SVUSD elementary band teachers are inviting all interested elementary parents, guardians and students to visit our Band Rental Night tonight from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Rothery Educational Center Atria. Vendor representatives from three companies will be in attendance to have students try out instruments and offer rental information. Our band teachers Mr. Gallant and Mrs. Sheridan are on site to answer any questions. Currently, there is lightning within 3.5 miles of the school. We will have delayed dismissal. We will not be releasing walkers/bikers until the weather clears up.
You are more than welcome to pick up your student by car or if you are walking, you may walk to your child's classroom.
Car riders will be released with parent signature.
