What is PBIS?

PBIS Stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. PBIS is a schoolwide system that uses proactive approaches to improve behavior and the overall school climate. PBIS reinforces positive behaviors while providing additional support to those who may need it. We like to recognize and strengthen our students; we love to include our teachers in the reinforcements!

Classroom

  • Hands, feet, and objects to self

  • Sit upright in your seat with feet on the floor, or criss-cross when sitting on floor

  • Walk

  • Use objects for their intended purpose

  • Use please and thank you

  • Listen quietly while others are speaking

  • Use inside voice

  • Follow directions given by all staff members

  • Have all materials/tools ready for tasks

  • Keep your work area and classroom clean and organized

  • Throw out all trash

Outside

  • Keep hands, feet, and objects to self

  • Keep hands off trees

  • Leave rocks/sticks on the ground

  • Leave animals and bugs alone

Bathrooms

  • Keep hands, feet and objects to self

  • 2 people at a time

Daily

  • Students that display positive behavior will be awarded points through PBIS Rewards daily

  • Students who earn the most points in their grade level grouping for the previous school day will receive a shout-out on the morning announcements

Weekly

  • Students can redeem the points they earned throughout the week at our school store, The Wolf Mart

  • Points not redeemed can be saved for higher value prizes the next week

Monthly

  • The student who is reinforced with points the most times per month for positive behaviors will be recognized along with students selected as Student of the Month at our monthly Pride of the Pack Assembly. Families will be invited to come celebrate, and students will be called up to receive a certificate, have their picture taken with our school mascot or our Wolfpack Pride Hall of Fame, and receive an invitation for extra recess or other fun activities hosted by our principal
