Pickup Information

Village Meadows Traffic Plan

To ensure the safety of our students, staff, and pedestrians, and to adhere to Arizona Law, please follow the Village Meadows Elementary School Traffic Plan.

  1. During student drop-off and pickup times, only buses will enter the main parking lot. They will follow the outer perimeter of the lot in a single-file line for students to exit and enter the buses.

  2. Do not park in the bus lanes from 7:30-8:00 AM and 2:15-3:15 PM. These lanes are for buses only, and parking there may result in your vehicle being blocked in or needing to be moved.

  3. Parents of ESS (TLC and Integrated Instruction) students may use the parking lot by Wing 1 (fenced-in parking lot) for drop-off and pickup. When exiting, please turn right onto El Camino Real.

  4. When picking up or dropping off students in person, park at the Seed of Abraham Ministry parking lot or the back parking lot and use the crosswalk and sidewalks to walk to the school. Drop off or pick up students at the top of the stairs where a staff member will assist.

  5. Do not park on Cll Gardenia during drop-off and pickup times (7:30-8:00 AM and 2:15-3:15 PM) as it is a drive-through lane.

  6. Follow the instructions of our crossing guards and do not exceed the posted speed limit of 15 mph while in the school zone.

This traffic control plan is the result of working with the City of Sierra Vista traffic engineers, the Sierra Vista Police Department, and school district staff and administration. We thank you for your cooperation in ensuring the safety of ALL of our students, staff, and family members as you arrive at and depart from Village Meadows Elementary.

Safety First at Village Meadows

Village Meadows is a closed campus and ALICE-certified, which means visitors must sign in at the front office any time they come onto school grounds. Our gates will be locked during school hours and classroom doors will be locked at all times.

Students will remain in classrooms during storms and heavy rain. Dismissal will be delayed if the weather is unsafe. In such cases, we will inform parents through an automated call, text message, and notifications via our SVUSD App.
