
Registration for the 3rd annual Summer Academy starts today!!! The Summer Academy is free to all students who are currently enrolled in Kinder-12th grade, no matter what school you attend. The Academy is Monday through Friday beginning on June 5th and ending July 14 . Students will be able to take up to four courses of their choosing. Remediation in one or both English Language Arts and Math is offered for K-8th and credit recovery for high school student in ELA, Math, Health, Future Focus, Tech Foundation and Social Studies. We also offer a wide variety of Enrichment class so students can explore and have some fun over the summer.

In an effort to improve our bus service there have been changes made to bus route 12 & 24 at Town and Country. Four stops on route 12, Primrose/Orchid, Bluebell/Periwinkle, Goldstone/Silverado, and San Ysidro/San Clemente, have been moved to route 24 and times have been adjusted on both routes 12 & 24. Students going to the Boys & Girls Club in the afternoon will ride route 24. There have been no changes made to route 8. These changes will begin on Monday, April 3rd. Town & Country's Teacher of the Year is Special Education Teacher Sarah Petersen. Ms. Petersen is committed to the needs of all of her students and this commitment is shown daily though her actions. She is wiling to help all the student on campus, is part of our PBIS team , is a member of our building leadership team and works with her students at their level.
Ms. Petersen also has a passion for teaching and learning that she is igniting in her students. Her group of students need a focus on social skills and she works with them on a daily basis through positive affirmation journaling and the zones of regulation. She makes everything fun and has even put in a weekly cooking class that is related to their monthly theme.
Congratulations to Ms. Petersen for being Teacher of the Year and helping all of our Roadrunners succeed.


Last Thursday was our annual Read Across America Family Night and it was an amazing time. Families and students came out to enjoy games, meet some great characters, and take home a book of their choosing. Thank you to all of the staff for their hard work and to our families who came out to enjoy.

Spring Break is March 13th through 17th. All school and district offices will be closed. We hope everyone enjoys their break and will see you all again on Monday, March 20th.

Due to our area forecast for ice and snow overnight all Sierra Vista Unified School District schools will have a delayed start time of two hours. Buena will begin at 9:20am, JCMS at 11am and elementary schools at 10am. Bus times will be pushed back 2 hours on all routes and stops. All release times will remain as a normal Wednesday school day. Breakfast will still be available but only cereal, lunch will be served as normal. Buena will not have zero hour. Thank you.


Candy grams are for sale now through Monday, February 13. The cost is $0.50 and will be delivered to classrooms on Tuesday, February 14. Also, the PTO is having a T-Shirt sale now through February 16. The QR codes are attached!
