🐾 Town & Country’s 5th graders have been hard at work on an amazing project: the A-Volume Zoo! 🦁📐 Over the past few weeks, students researched an animal, built models to calculate their volume, and wrote creative stories to bring their creatures to life. This project blended science, math, reading, and writing skills into one incredible learning experience. Way to go, 5th graders! 🎉
🎃 Happy Halloween, SVUSD families and community! We loved seeing all the amazing costumes today! Have a fun, safe night! 👻🧡 #SVUSD

🎉 Celebrating Our Commitment to Positive Behavior: Six SVUSD Schools Earn 2023-2024 AZPBIS Awards! 🎉
We're thrilled to announce that Bella Vista Elementary, PDS Elementary, and Buena High School have earned the prestigious 2023-2024 AZPBIS 1 Award! 🏆 But the excitement doesn't stop there—Carmichael Elementary and Huachuca Mountain Elementary have also been recognized with Level 3 awards, and Town and Country Elementary achieved an extraordinary Level 4 award 🌟
These awards shine a light on the core values we instill in our students every day through the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program. It’s not just about recognition—it’s about fostering a school culture where students are empowered to live by our values:
Be Safe
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
SVUSD PBIS Coordinator Nicole Parker shared, "These awards reflect the incredible commitment of our staff, families, and community in upholding these expectations each day. Together, we are building a positive, proactive, and supportive school environment where students can thrive both academically and socially." 💙💛
At SVUSD, we are proud to see our students embrace and embody these principles—preparing them to grow into successful leaders and compassionate citizens.
Let’s continue to celebrate this success and encourage our students to live out these values every day! 🌟

🌟 SVUSD Schools Supporting a Great Cause! 🌟
All SVUSD schools are proudly participating in the Edward Jones Food Drive throughout October! Each classroom is collecting non-perishable food items, and the classroom with the most donations will win a pizza party sponsored by Edward Jones for each site. 🍕🎉
But the real winners are our local food pantries and community members who will benefit from your generosity. Our students are excited to make a difference, and this is a beautiful example of how we can come together as a community to support those in need. 💙🫶
If you've already donated, THANK YOU for your kindness! 🙏 If you'd still like to contribute, donations are being accepted until the end of October. Every can and every box makes a big impact! 🥫❤️ #SVUSDGivesBack #CommunityStrong #EdwardJonesFoodDrive #EmpoweringYou

💙 In honor of Unity Day on Wednesday, October 16th, we invite all students to wear orange to show their support for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Together, we can stand up to bullying and continue to make SVUSD schools a positive place for all! 🧡💪 #AntiBullyingMonth
