Buena Fine Arts Productions presents its annual spring musical, Disneyβs The Little Mermaid, on May 5th and 6th, 7:00pm at Buenaβs Klein Center for the Performing Arts.
Based on the Hans Christian Andersen story and the Disney film produced by Howard Ashman & John Musker and written and directed by John Musker & Ron Clements, The Little Mermaid follows Ariel, who dreams of becoming human. In
love with the human Prince Eric, Ariel makes a deal with Ursula, the Sea Witch, to exchange her beautiful voice for her own legs. While Ursula plots her vengeance against Arielβs father King Triton, Ariel and her friends race against time to save herself, her family, and her Kingdom from Ursulaβs scheme to conquer Triton and rule the oceans for herself.
The Little Mermaid features an incredible cast of student actors, with a fun, classic soundtrack beloved by families of all ages. Join us for a delightful evening the whole family will enjoy! Tickets are $7 and doors open at 6:30. Tickets can also be purchased online at Buena.Booktix.com
Thank you for supporting the arts in our schools and community.
See you there!

Village Meadows students create digital art in their Technology Special Class. Mrs. Grillβs Technology Specials class created digital mosaics using Google Drawings. This is a unique way in technology to be creative and design digital art. Google Drawings is part of the Google Docs Editor Suite and allows users to be creative with shapes, arrows, scribble, and text. Fantastic work Wolfpack!

Village Meadows is so proud of first grade teacher Mary Cangiolosi! Since day one, Ms. Cangiolosi helps develop little heroes who aren't afraid of failing or making a mistake but rise when faced with adversity. As student's enter the classroom they are met with superhero love and a fist bump, high five, or a hug. As the students transition to their seats their spidey senses begin to tingle eager to start their day because they have grown from saying, "I can't," to understanding the "why and what" they are learning for the day. Her leadership and the language she uses in how she speaks about students is the reason we will not just have one superhero rise from our school but ALL because our kids are our future, a superhero just waiting to be discovered.
Thank you Ms. Cangiolosi for being a superhero to our entire Wolfpack!

Last Thursday was our annual Read Across America Family Night and it was an amazing time. Families and students came out to enjoy games, meet some great characters, and take home a book of their choosing. Thank you to all of the staff for their hard work and to our families who came out to enjoy.
